2ND NOTICE --- UPDATED VERSION!!
The Marine Riders Group of Indiana will be hosting a “Hog Roast” on Saturday, September 16th, in Rockville, Indiana. The local Rockville Lake Park Campgrounds will be the site of this activity. The “HOG” will be ready by lunchtime (around 12 Noon). Marine Joe Crousore (cell 437-3288) will be serving as our “Ride Captain”. He will give out additional instructions at the time of the ride.
We intend to meet at the Golden Corral parking lot, on the Northwest side, on Saturday, September 16th , at 0730 hours for breakfast. Kick stands up by 0845 hours. The route to Rockville is intended to be a scenic one and will take us through the rolling hills of the Indiana countryside; approximately 110 miles. From Kokomo, we will first travel;
West on State Road #26 to State Road #29;
South on State Road #29 to State Road #47;
West on State Road #47 through Crawfordsville to US #231;
South on US #231 to US #36;
West on US #36 to Rockville, Indiana.
After arriving in Rockville, we will proceed to the Lake and the Hog Roast.
The return trip may be a little faster: We will take US #36 East to US #231 and North to Crawfordsville; then East on State Road #32 through Lebanon and on to US#31 North to Kokomo. Approximate time to Rockville 2 hours and 40 minutes.
